Your Trainer
■
Catherine Haddad
Trained in Germany under the late Willi Schultheis, Catherine spent twenty years competing at the highest levels of international dressage before returning to the United States to build a training program rooted in the classical tradition. She has coached five riders to USDF Gold Medal distinction, guided Para Dressage Team rider Katie Johnson to the 2018 World Equestrian Games, and developed seven horses to the international Grand Prix level.
Her teaching is informed by everything she has learned across four decades at the top of the sport, across cultures, training systems, and competition arenas on two continents. She brings the same eye, the same honesty, and the same commitment to every horse and rider she works with, whether they are just beginning their journey or preparing for the international stage.
Beyond the arena, Catherine is one of the most respected and widely published voices in international dressage. She writes and speaks about classical horsemanship, the welfare of the horse, and the state of the sport with a directness that has earned her a loyal following among riders, trainers, and enthusiasts worldwide. To train with Catherine is not simply to improve. It is to develop a deeper understanding of the horse, the work, and yourself.
